Hacksaw Ridge is a 2016 American- Australian World War 2 drama film based on the true events. The film will tell the heroic tale of Desmond Doss, who worked as an army medic during the Second World War and is known to have singlehandedly saved lives of 75 of his comrades. He refused to have arms on him and despite that, he came out alive and well. The film will peak into the life of the man and the war of Okinawa that made him a national hero. The then president Harry Truman awarded him the Medal of Honour for his service to the army in the battle of Okinawa.
