I, Daniel Blake is a French drama film based on the life of man named Daniel Blake, 59 as he suffers from a heart attack. Instead of being depressed about it, he goes on to live his life like it was meant to be. The film is a slice of life kind of feature film which has received rave reviews for the leading man’s performance and the overall story and the message that the film successfully delivers. The brutally moving film takes place for the most part in North east England and explores some beautiful locales.


I, Daniel Blake is an upcoming drama film taking place in modern times and shedding a light on the hardships faced by the lower middle class section in these days. The story has its centre, Daniel Blake, a carpenter who happens to be widowed and living quite a lonesome life. He is shaken to his core when he has a heart attack and realizes that he hasn’t quite lived his life the way he always desired and he didn’t want to die before doing that. He is forced to go back to work and eventually comes across a woman with two fatherless children and falls in love with her.
