When the Bough Breaks is a psychological thriller film directed by John Cassar revolving around the very controversial topic of surrogacy. A couple, after finding it impossible to give birth to a baby, goes the surrogacy route and what happens after that forms the basic premise of the highly anticipated thriller. Things went downhill as they hire a very young and beautiful woman to be the surrogate. The couple then struggles to maintain their sanity once they find out the deep and dark secrets Anna holds. Jack Olsen has penned the story and the screenplay and the film stars Morris Chestnut, Regina Hall, Theo Rossi and Jaz Sinclair.
